WWE Veteran Reveals Dolph Ziggler Contract Update Following Latest RAW Appearance

Hardcore wrestling icon Tommy Dreamer recently shared his thoughts on Dolph Ziggler’s surprise return to WWE. The former world champion appeared on RAW this week as Nic Nemeth, entering the Last Time is Now tournament.

Ziggler, who is currently signed with TNA Wrestling, shocked fans when he walked out as the mystery challenger for Solo Sikoa. The two delivered a standout match, with Ziggler nearly scoring the win through a quick roll-up. However, Solo regained momentum and sealed the victory with the Samoan Spike.

Speaking on the Busted Open Podcast, Dreamer praised Ziggler’s performance and highlighted the incredible reaction he received from the New York crowd. He even admitted that, at several points, he believed Ziggler was advancing to the next round.

Dreamer added that WWE did not mention Ziggler’s TNA contract on-air, but clarified that the star remains signed with the promotion.

“Tonight, there were moments where I thought he was moving forward in the tournament. He was excellent. I wasn’t there to hear the ovation, but I’m sure the fans at Madison Square Garden gave him a strong response—applause, chants, everything. Solo keeps progressing. They didn’t acknowledge his TNA status, but yes, he’s still under contract with TNA Wrestling,” Dreamer said.

Zack Ryder also returned on SmackDown

Ziggler wasn’t the only former WWE name returning for the tournament. Zack Ryder made a surprise appearance on SmackDown, facing LA Knight in a first-round clash.

Following RAW, Triple H took to social media to congratulate Ziggler on his impressive comeback moment, adding more buzz to the star’s unexpected WWE appearance.
