Welcome to another edition of the daily WWE News and Rumor Roundup, where we try to bring you the latest news and rumors from the world of Vince McMahon's company. In today's jam-packed edition, we will talk about WrestleMania plans for some of the biggest superstars.

This article will also take a look at what the future holds for former world champion AJ Styles amidst rumors of him WWE. We will also take a look at what the original plan was for Big E at Day 1 before Brock Lesnar was added to the match.

Rumors suggest that Roman Reigns will face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania this year. We will take a look if these rumors are true, among many other interesting stories:

#5 Roman Reigns to face Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that some new twists and turns will be added to the ongoing feud between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. He also added that the two will clash at WrestleMania.

There has been some speculation that WWE may change plans given the fact that Brock Lesnar became the champion at Day 1. However, the match between The Beast Incarnate and The Tribal Chief is reportedly still on course:

“Drew (McIntyre) will find out I presume this week how serious it is. He would be the guy (most likely to face Reigns at Royal Rumble), but he may not be available. I know that they’ve got everything worked out between now and WrestleMania. Everything is worked out. All the original plans, there were some changes obviously because the Lesnar and Roman Reigns match from Saturday didn’t happen, but they’ve got their new twists and turns, and the final destination, which is presumably Lesnar and Roman Reigns, is still on," said Dave Meltzer.

Brock Lesnar has stated that he will be present on SmackDown this week. He will seemingly confront Roman Reigns after their match at Day 1 got nixed because of Reigns contracting COVID.

#4 Big E was set to lose the WWE Championship to Seth Rollins at Day 1

At Day 1, Big E lost the WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar in a fatal 5-way match. However, Dave Meltzer has revealed that the original plan was for Seth Rollins to win that match and become the champion:

"The original scripted plan for the show was for Big E to lose the championship, but to Seth Rollins, who had tested positive for COVID-19 last week, and the champion instead lost his title to Lesnar as the result of another positive test,'' said Meltzer

Seth Rollins was originally set to face Big E in a one-on-one match at Day 1 before Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar got added. Lesnar will now face Bobby Lashley at Royal Rumble for the title.

#3 AJ Styles to stay with WWE despite rumors of him leaving

Despite rumors suggesting that AJ Styles is on his way out of the company, Dave Meltzer has stated that the former world champion is a 'lifer' and has chosen to re-sign with the company.

''No, he’s not going anywhere. He just signed, I don’t know if it’s a 3 or a 5 [year deal]. It wasn’t that long ago when he signed it. He’s not going anywhere. He had the chance to go if he wanted to but he was not interested. There were certainly overtures made for him and they were good money overtures but he’s in his mind, I think he’s a lifer there,'' said Meltzer

AJ Styles is currently embroiled in a feud with his former tag team partner Omos on RAW.

#2 Vince Russo on Alexa Bliss' upcoming WWE return

Speaking on SportsKeeda's Legion of RAW, former WWE writer Vince Russo raised an interesting point in regards to Alexa Bliss' upcoming return. This week on RAW, the company advertised Bliss' return to RAW for the following episode.

However, Russo feels that the company will shortchange the fans and give no backstory regarding Bliss' 'breakdown' before she left:

"Bro, what are the odds that next week we'll see Alexa Bliss back, and what's the doll's name, Jilly? Lilly? and there's no mention of Lily. No mention of the playground, she's just the Alexa Bliss in the women's division,'' said Russo

He also said that the odds of something like that happening are above 80%, and that Bliss will return to the roster without any explanation on Lilly.

#1 Ric Flair praises WWE Champion Brock Lesnar

Ric Flair praised Brock Lesnar while talking about him on his podcast. The Nature Boy said that Lesnar is one of the safest wrestlers to work with and that he never hurt him.

Flair spoke about his first match against Lesnar on the night when Stone Cold quit:

"He took care of me," said Flair. "He never hurt me, he never hurt me. I'll tell you that. When he latches on to you, you're not going anywhere. The first time I wrestled him was the night Steve Austin quit in Atlanta,'' said Ric Flair.

Brock Lesnar became WWE Champion at Day 1 and will likely be facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania this year in a champion vs champion match.
