 Brock Lesnar's presence looms like a gigantic shadow over the upcoming pay-per-view event this weekend titled Extreme Rules 2021. We know that he is slated to face WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. The same Tribal Chief who is competing against Finn Balor at the show.


 Brock Lesnar is not on social media, so his motivations are often unknown to the world at large. This has lent him an air of mystique because the only thing that's for sure about The Beast Incarnate is that nothing's for sure.

With that said, here are 5 ways that Brock Lesnar could shake up Extreme Rules and the product as a whole if he does show up. Even a small appearance from the former WWE Champion has a big impact.

#5 Brock Lesnar helps Finn Balor become the new Universal Champion

 Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor have faced one another in the past and the contest was surprisingly competitive. One has to believe that Lesnar, in kayfabe, has a healthy amount of respect for such a once-in-a-generation athlete. And now that he is a babyface, he may show his allegiance to Balor against the dastardly Tribal Chief!

The purpose of such a move is two-fold. On the one hand, the company can protect The Demon character, which hasn't suffered a loss on the main roster yet. At the same time, WWE is also able to make Roman Reigns look strong in defeat because he's been heavily protected all this while.

At the same time, Brock Lesnar may want to strike the first blow against Roman Reigns even before the bell sounds at Crown Jewel! By costing The Tribal Chief the WWE Universal Championship, Finn Balor could regain the title he never lost!

#4 Brock Lesnar stunningly costs The Usos their SmackDown Tag Team Championships

 Could Brock Lesnar show up where you least expect him to, costing The Usos the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships? And following the match, he could lay both men out to ensure that they don't interfere in the main event.

This could be a great way to put the titles around the waists of Ford and Dawkins without having to make The Usos look weak. It would also be a genuine surprise because nobody expects Brock Lesnar to show up on the undercard.

#3 Brock Lesnar surprisingly helps Roman Reigns remain the Universal Champion

 Brock Lesnar may have a very selfish reason to ensure that Roman Reigns remains the WWE Universal Champion. If he drops the title to The Demon, the match in Saudi Arabia will be a non-title affair.

#2 Brock Lesnar has a showdown with someone from the RAW roster

 By now, we know that Brock Lesnar is likely to be a part of the RAW roster going forward. Kayla Braxton even said as much on SmackDown, suggesting that the move will happen following the upcoming draft.

Could the first seeds of this massive move be planted at Extreme Rules? Could Brock Lesnar have a showdown with someone like Bobby Lashley or even Big E during the show?

#1 Brock Lesnar kidnaps Paul Heyman

 The very idea of having Paul Heyman alongside him in the ringside area adds a lot to Roman Reigns' presence. So, if Brock Lesnar is able to kidnap Paul Heyman and take him elsewhere, ensuring that nobody is in The Tribal Chief's corner, it may throw the WWE Universal Champion off his game.

These mind-games could certainly be a prelude to the upcoming Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar match. If Reigns suffers a massive loss before facing Lesnar at the upcoming pay-per-view, the former UFC Champion may head into the contest with the upper hand.
