10 Current WWE Superstars who are surprisingly close friends

The wrestling business can be a lonely one if you're in it alone, which is why friendships often form in WWE. During their time on the road, many WWE Superstars have become close friends and even travel buddies, despite being on opposite sides of the ring.

Heels and faces are able to freely interact once the cameras are turned off, and several stars who have been part of on-screen feuds have been able to become friends in real life.

The following list looks at 10 current WWE Superstars who are surprisingly good friends outside of the ring.

#10/9. Current WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss and NXT star Ember Moon

Alexa Bliss and Ember Moon are currently on completely different brands, but the two women are still able to find the time to spend together when they are off the clock.

Moon is part of the NXT brand that is set to be revamped in a few days, whilst Alexa Bliss is looking to challenge Charlotte Flair for the RAW Women's Championship at Extreme Rules in a few weeks.

Both women came through the ranks in NXT at one point, and judging by their Instagram updates, this could have been where the two women first bonded.

Moon was on the main roster for a number of months before suffering an injury and then made her return on the NXT brand instead. The WWE Draft is reportedly set to take place in less than a month and could see Moon moved back to the main roster.

Given their close relationship outside of the ring, it would be interesting to see the War Goddess step into the ring with Bliss in her current form. The two women could definitely have an intense, supernatural feud on the main roster if given the opportunity.

#8/7. WWE Superstars Seth Rollins and Bayley

Seth Rollins and Bayley have recently been able to interact on WWE TV, after years of being close friends. Rollins is married to one of Bayley's closest friends and on-screen rival Becky Lynch.

Bayley and Rollins appear to be doing a lot of traveling with WWE and working out together since the duo often share updates on Instagram and seem to have a number of inside jokes.

It's interesting to note that when recently asked about Bayley in an interview, Rollins made it clear that he believes he has more chemistry on-screen with the former Women's Champion than his own wife.

"Even pre-trip Drip God, Visionary, Monday Night Messiah; it didn't work. Her character (Lynch) is a loner. She doesn't need anybody. To see that character in a relationship doesn't feel good. It never felt good. Especially now, I don't know what it would look like. Seth Rollins and Bayley characters, their synergy was perfect and it made perfect sense for them to be in the ring together and do a promo together. (Becky's) character is not built for a number two, it's really not. There's no harm in it, but I don't think we need to touch on it ever again," said Seth Rollins.

Bayley is currently out of action following an ACL tear, but could work with the former WWE Champion on SmackDown again in the future.

#6/5. Current WWE Superstars Kevin Owens and Finn Balor

Both WWE Superstar Finn Balor and Kevin Owens have been making headlines this week for very different reasons.

News leaked earlier in the week that Owens' contract was set to expire in January, whilst Balor's Demon persona made his return on SmackDown.

The two men have been part of the company together for a number of years, and Balor himself named Kevin Owens as one of his closest friends as part of an interview with CBS Los Angeles back in 2018.

"He and I came to WWE the exact same time. We didn’t know each other before we got there. We became pretty close pretty quickly when we did get to the NXT Performance Center. He’s been my best friend ever since, so I’d love to share the ring with him on that stage in WrestleMania," Balor revealed.

Following his recent promotion, Owens and Balor are back on the same brand and are now in a position where they could have another match on the level of Beast In The East 2015.

#4/3. WWE Superstars Natalya and Carmella

Nattie and Carmella have been friends and rivals in WWE over the past few years, but outside of the ring, it appears the duo have remained close friends.

Natalya has been like a mentor to the current crop of female wrestlers and has helped many of the women on the main roster following their promotion from NXT, including Carmella.

The duo was also part of the cast of Total Divas at the same time, which allowed the two women to form a lasting friendship.

The Staten Island Princess recently dedicated an Instagram post to The Queen of Harts on her birthday with a full show of her affection for her friend.

At present, both women perform on SmackDown with Nattie, currently one-half of the Women's Tag Team Champions with Tamina. It's likely the two women will cross paths again in the future if Carmella finds a tag team partner and challenges for those titles.

#2/1. Current WWE Superstars Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest (And Riddle)

There are several close-knit friendships in WWE, but one of the more surprising ones that have recently come to light is that of Damian Priest, Riddle, and Rhea Ripley.

Ripley shared out the above Tweet ahead of SummerSlam last month where it showed the three stars relaxing in the pool before having the opportunity to win gold at the biggest party of the summer.

Ripley, Riddle, and Priest were all part of NXT at the same time, and it's obvious that the three stars have bonded throughout their time on the brand. Priest and Ripley have very similar styles when it comes to ring attire and their taste in music, whilst Riddle looks as though he is the joker of the group.

All three stars are young up-and-comers who are making a name for themselves on RAW at present. Having each other for support throughout their push will definitely make the journey to the top much less lonely.
