4 surprises that could happen on WWE SmackDown: The Bloodline's 'official' ally, Megastar turns face

The penultimate episode of WWE SmackDown before Night of Champions is set to be a spectacle. A couple of tag team matches are on the card while some promo segments could lead to interesting outcomes.

Wrestling fans should expect some surprises that will lead to new feuds or add energy to existing storylines. Speaking of the hot topic, The Bloodline's main roster supremacy might be bolstered by the assistance of a fellow heel stable.

In this list, we will look at four surprises that could happen on WWE SmackDown tonight.

#4. LA Knight turns face after teaming up with Rick Boogs

The upcoming WWE SmackDown show will feature LA Knight in his first tag team match on the main roster. Interestingly, the beloved heel is going to pair with one of the up-and-coming babyfaces.

The former Million Dollar Champion is expected to betray Rick Boogs. However, WWE could pull off a swerve by establishing them as a team. A momentous victory over the winners of the two-time Tag Team Champions will lead to such a result, and Knight could naturally turn babyface over time.

Both Boogs and Knight aren't a part of any storyline so they can play along as teammates. In fact, the former may play a vital role in The Defiant One's potential Money in the Bank Ladder Match victory.

#3. The Usos suffer yet another defeat on WWE SmackDown

It's no secret that Jimmy and Jey Uso have fallen from the graces of their Tribal Chief. Despite their shortcomings against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, they have an opportunity to redefine themselves as the deadly superkick duo on WWE SmackDown tonight.

The Usos were offended by how Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar celebrated their removal from Night of Champions, and both teams will now go head-to-head. Even though The Ones are most likely to win, a first-ever defeat at the hands of the Latino World Order will heighten the tension in The Bloodline.

Shenanigans such as a mistimed entry by Solo Sikoa or Roman Reigns will pace The Bloodline story. Owens and Zayn could also bring up The Usos' setback during their verbal battle against Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns on the upcoming WWE SmackDown.

#2. Grayson Waller picks a feud with AJ Styles

Similar to the Miz TV on the red brand, WWE SmackDown is set to have its own talk show. AJ Styles will be the guest during the blue brand's premiere of the Grayson Waller Effect. He earned the spot on the show by cementing himself as the finalist for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Even though Grayson is fixated on debuting his show, the bitter history between him and Styles could take precedence. The Phenomenal One refused to acknowledge him as the face of NXT so Waller may be harboring some resentment. This could also add some suspense to Styles' match at Night of Champions, as Waller could potentially interfere.

The Arrogant Aussie himself provided multiple teasers on the subject. He wants to have another go against his role model and could jumpstart a rivalry with AJ Styles on the show.

#1. Roman Reigns declares an alliance with Imperium

This Monday, Paul Heyman was seen striking a deal with Imperium to cost Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn their match against The Judgment Day. The Wiseman is back to playing mind games to give Roman Reigns more of an edge ahead of Night of Champions.

An intriguing revelation seemingly lies in wait now that the heel stables had a union on RAW. During their promo segment on WWE SmackDown, Owens and Zayn are most likely going to tease the subject of Gunther's involvement in their previous match. Roman Reigns could then drop the bombshell that The Bloodline and Imperium have made a pact.

Heyman is known to pull off secret deals but the announcement of an alliance between Reigns and Gunther will be truly shocking. It will also play to the conspiracy theories of a potential match between the two stables in the future, if Imperium is not able to live up to their end the deal.
