WWE Rumor Roundup: Big name set to join AEW after release, Ronda Rousey behaviour issues, 'Major attraction' locked in as Shane McMahon's WrestleMania replacement

 Welcome to another edition of the daily WWE Rumor Roundup, where we try and bring the biggest rumors and updates from the world of WWE to you. In today's edition, we will take a look at some big topics revolving around the plans for this year's WrestleMania.

We will also take a look at the fallout of Shane McMahon being let go by the company after his disastrous return at Royal Rumble. As per reports, McMahon was very vocal about his ideas and picked up arguments with Brock Lesnar over how the match should go. Not only were his ideas nixed by Vince McMahon, but he was also let go by WWE and his future plans scrapped.

So without any further ado, let us dive in and take a look at some of the most interesting rumors:

#5 WWE in search of a big replacement for Shane McMahon

As previously reported, the company had big plans for a match between Shane McMahon and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38, with McMahon being seen as a major attraction for the event.

However, with plans for Shane O'Mac being nixed, WrestleVotes reported that the company is scrambling to find another 'major attraction' to replace him at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

"Source states the spot Shane McMahon was going to have on the WrestleMania card was to be positioned near the top. Therefore, WWE now needs a new "major attraction" matchup outside of the titles. This goes w/o saying, but the WM card is still in complete flux. It's quite amazing," WrestleVotes tweeted.

With Shane McMahon gone, there are no concrete plans for Seth Rollins either, who at one point was planned to be the WWE Champion heading into WrestleMania.

It will be interesting to see who the company chooses to replace Shane McMahon and how they will fit into the the current plans for the Show of Shows.

#4 WWE has already decided Shane McMahon's WrestleMania replacement

As noted earlier, WWE is planning to get a 'major attraction' to replace Shane McMahon at WrestleMania.

As per Ringside News, the company has already locked in who that will be. In fact, they did so almost as soon as Shane McMahon was let go by the company. Here is what Steve Carrier of RSN stated:

We have learned that Shane's replacement is already decided. In fact, it was "decided as soon as the decision was made to send Shane home."

They also reported that after asking around about Shane McMahon's replacement they were told that it is already ready and was “decided as soon as the decision was made to send Shane home.”

#3 Keith Lee set to debut on AEW?

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio stated that the former superstar is AEW bound. Tony Khan has announced a surprise for this week's Dynamite and it will most likely be Keith Lee. Even if not, there is no doubt that Keith Lee will eventually sign with AEW as per Meltzer:

“I know they’ve been talking to Keith Lee, I know that they were pretty close with Keith Lee if it’s not already a done deal. It probably is a done deal. I don’t know that ‘officially’, but that’s kind of been the word going around.”

The former NXT Champion was released a few months back by WWE and is currently a free agent.

#2 Could former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt sign with AEW?

Technically Windham is another potential name for AEW that we could have talked about more. Adam Scherr also as well as far as name free agents.

 Speaking about former WWE Superstars who could be heading to AEW, Dave Meltzer said that Bray Wyatt is another potential name for Tony Khan's promotion to sign.

However, the former Universal Champion is interested in pursuing a career in Hollywood. It is possible that AEW have managed to strike a deal with Bray Wyatt or Braun Strowman.

#1 Ronda Rousey causing issues with 'bitter' behaviour

Ronda Rousey won the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble match. However, The Baddest Woman On The Planet did not look thrilled to be on RAW the next night. Despite getting a major ovation from the fans, she did not acknowledge them at all.

However, she changed her manner on SmackDown that week and came across as a pure babyface. As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, she was given instructions by WWE to acknowledge the fans who cheered for her:

''People, when they saw her, it's like, 'Oh my god, she's being a heel.' No. That's just Ronda. Then they had to talk her out of, basically, going... these people are cheering you. You have to acknowledge them."

He also revealed that Ronda Rousey was 'very very' bitter about coming back. He said that it was not a good look for the company considering she is being portrayed as a babyface.
